How long does it take to become eligible for benefits?
US-based employees are eligible for most benefits from day one.*

How much vacation time is offered?
US-based regular, full-time employees are initially eligible to earn vacation time at a rate of 2 weeks per year and then 3 weeks per year after 5 years and 4 weeks after 15 years. Hours are accrued by pay period.

Do part time employees receive vacation time?
Yes, eligible part-time employees receive a pro-rated benefit based on the number of regularly scheduled work hours.

What holidays does Microsemi regularly observe as non-work days?
Observed holidays for US-based employees are New Year’s Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving, the day after Thanksgiving, Winter Holiday (Dec. 25th), and 2 floating holidays (decided by division).*

How many days of sick leave are available?
10 days per year for U.S. based employees.

Does Microsemi offer tuition reimbursement for job-related continuing education?
Yes, US-based employees are eligible for tuition reimbursement. Please contact the local Human Resources office for more information.*

What type of health insurance is offered and are part time employees eligible?
Comprehensive medical (HMOs, PPOs), vision, and complete dental care, including orthodontia, is available for eligible US-based full-time and part-time employees. Long-term care is also available for eligible US-based employee and their relatives, including parents and grandparents.
